The way this talk shows what poetry is primarily focused on and how large its effect is really spoke to me. It flips the idea around—in what you may think is stark contrast—that you don't simply hear poetry--but you begin to feel it and sense it as soon as you are very young.

They delve into discussing this spectacular thought: they call it everyday poetics, which opens up a view that art and poetry aren't simply in books or paintings--but are also in the items we eat every day. Listening to Seu go on about how today's fast-paced life and its weirdness ties into modern poetry really made sense.

It makes you look at the busyness and weird parts of today in a way that's inherently, or in substance, similar to poetry. Hearing their story and how many big differences in culture and society light up their poetry in deep and thinking ways has been eye-opening.

Large thanks for letting us in on your journey and insights with a piece that makes you stop and think🤍
