Seeing Gen Zs in Kenya reaching for social media to spark change really excites me. It reminds me of stories I've heard about what occurred more than ten years ago; the article I just read made me feel the energy and willpower of young people in Kenya. It was as if history is doing an encore with its own twist by comparing what's happening there with the Arab Spring, which is both and uplifting to think about; the June 17th protest was a standout moment, showing everyone's coming together and determination that hasn't been seen in Kenya like that before. It's like there is a profound and deep-seated acceptance of a societal shift — essentially exhilarating to me. I believe, as you might hold credence also, that this shake-up could really bring some amazing changes, steering clear of the mistakes other places have bumped into. Great job to whoever wrote that piece for clearly understanding those comparisons and starting an important conversation🤍
