Reading this, I really felt it, especially the components about why having discipline and understanding the good in waiting for rewards matters. Being wholly invested in AI, dealing with numbers and code non-stop, has taught me what it truly means to stick with something even when it gets rough. Balance in life, it’s got its ups and downs and all--but jumping in with all your effort even when times are tough can really pay off. There is a profound and deep-seated certainty that hard work really goes the distance in shaping who we become, as shown through the writer’s journey and commitment in their field. With every new challenge our generation faces, moving forward without dropping our highest hopes is key. Almost inevitably, we see that for Gen Z people, really understanding the weight of what we might have to give up is a part of grasping hold of the wins.
